Opinion Writing Graphic Organizer Prompts

Introduce your students to opinion writing.

This Opinion writing unit includes 12 different writing prompts. Each prompt includes a circle map, a guided writing map with sentence starters, an independent writing map, and a final copy writing paper. I have used this unit with first and second grade and they really enjoy the different opinion pieces. The various topics range from choosing between two, giving an opinion about a topic, and stating favorites. I include word wall words and a poster explanation of what is an opinion.
