In this resource, you will find scaffolding tools to help your students read leveled texts, gather evidence, organize their findings and move their thoughts along into an essay.
Included in this resource are three texts about the positive and negative effects of watching television. Since all children learn differently, I've included three text levels, each level is labeled as "High, Medium and Low." All three copies conclude the same ideas and points you want to teach your students about the topic.
In addition there is "High and Low" writing template. The templates can be used to help your students plan their writing using text evidence and explaining the evidence in their own words.
Lastly, you will find publishing paper designed for both sides of the opinion writing. For example, one sheet has televisions in all four corners and the other sheet has televisions with a red x on it.
