Are you looking for a resource that will engage your students with OPINION writing? This set of 10 high interest prompts will have your students excited to write and share their work! To make the prompts even more teacher and student friendly, each prompt is provided with and without a coloring code for extra student support!

Opinion Writing Prompts Set 1 for Google Drive

For each of the 10 high interest prompts in this resource students are asked to...

• state their opinion
• give at least 3 reasons to support their opinion
• restate their opinion in closing.

When using the coloring code version students are then asked to underline the parts of their response with crayon or colored pencil according to a key. There is a small space for students to illustrate their opinion choice.

This set of prompts are beneficial for daily practice, for students just learning about opinion writing, or as a review.

These prompts work great to prep for testing, as well!
