Product Description

Each page in this 11-page download includes a short prompt for students to respond to. This is a great worksheet because students need to read information, form their opinion, and then write their opinion. It includes a checklist of what students need to include (ie. transition words, an introduction, a conclusion, etc.). It is great for homework, classwork, assessment, or all three!

Each prompt is different yet equally interesting to an elementary student. Each includes a short paragraph with information to be used as evidence for the students' responses. Prompts range from the question of "what pet your teacher should get" to "is walking to school a good idea?"

Lastly, I have attached a .pdf and a .doc so that you can make any changes you see fit for your classroom. Perhaps you want your checklist to be different than mine because your students are a different grade level, or you would like to slightly modify some prompts.

Enjoy!
