Product Description

Promote classroom relationships & community building with these differentiated getting-to-know you activities centering around everyone’s favorite things! Collect opinions with a twist on "Find Someone Who." Save time with this fun, no-prep addition to your back-to-school plans!

With the “My Absolute Favorites” activity, students record their opinions about their very favorite things by drawing, writing or both. These favorites can be shared with the whole class, in small groups or with partners. Students could trade papers and introduce each other to the class, or papers could be drawn at random to guess who the mystery classmate is.

With the “Find Our Favorites Scavenger Hunt”, students collect opinions in an activity similar to the common classroom game, “Find Someone Who.” Students circulate to ask classmates to choose a square and tell their opinion about that favorite or best thing. Encourage students to ask for reasons why to spark meaningful conversations! After the activity is over, gather as a whole class to discuss something that was discovered about each classmate. Don’t leave anyone out! Guiding questions are provided to facilitate this discussion.

Both activities include 4 levels of differentiated no-prep printables. Choose what works for you depending on student need and the activity length you desire. Topics were selected to be relevant and meaningful for students of all abilities and backgrounds.
