These graphic organizers are a great way to facilitate higher order thinking skills in math.
They cover the following: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. These graphic organizers are in PowerPoint format, so you can change the color and/or math operations as you see fit.
All organizers start with a space to create an equation for each operation (abstract) and moves down to provide space for students to represent each equation in a concrete and/or representational format. Using opposite operations, students must end with the same answers.
Example: 5 + 3= 8 and 9 - 1 = 8 In each opposite equation, students must show their work in a concrete or representational format. Answers are written in the last (bottom) boxes.
