This is a great board game for reviewing opposites in the primary grades. Students match pictures to pictures; therefore, students are working on their ability to match opposite words, in addition to reading. There is also a worksheet for them to keep track of what they are doing in the center (if you would like to use for accountability in centers).
In addition, I have built an option into this game where students can ask their friends for help, and still get a prize for the correct answer. However, the student AND the helper both get a prize for that round, because this teamwork approach promotes leadership, additional peer teaching, as well as growth in self esteem and growth in the classroom.
Remember, if a child can teach another child, then, they TRULY understand the material, concept, and so forth. :)
