Product Description
Graphic Designers use images and words symbolically. Ideas often have polar opposites and finding these can be a convenient and inspirational way to brainstorm. For the designer trying to make a conceptual point opposites can call attention to a position, difference, juxtaposition, or dichotomy. Artists often use opposites allegorically or metaphorically. For the student trying to analyze a work of art identifying opposites can be a helpful focusing tool. This project provides some typography and valuable thumbnails sketch practice. Besides, as a group project, this is just plain fun!
Download includes five examples to get your class started. The symbolic use of color in the final presentations can add depth and interest.
