Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Conduct Disorder can be very difficult to work with in a school setting! During this session, participants will learn strategies to align with students to elicit intrinsic motivation! Additionally, we will break down behavioral change concepts to understand how to better assist students to reach their full potential.
Elizabeth Avery has a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. Elizabeth is passionate about utilizing a strengths-based approach through a trauma-informed lens when working therapeutically with youth. Over the years, she has worked with the children and adolescents with a wide variety of mental health diagnoses in traditional therapeutic settings, schools, and within the juvenile justice system. Currently, Elizabeth is devoted to developing mental health programs within school systems in order to increase access to care and decrease stigma.
