I use this unit as part of my course's introduction to rhetoric. Due to copyright law, a transcript of Oprah's speech is not included. I provide a link to the speech. While some notes about Aristotle's rhetorical triangle are included, instructor may need prior knowledge or supplemental resources. PDF and editable Word files included.

I find Oprah's speech a great way to practice rhetorical analysis before my course covers more difficult texts like Edwards' "Sinner in the Hands of an Angry God."
