OPTICAL ILLUSIONS TRADING CARDS:
This is a fun art activity to link up with a ‘perspective-taking’ unit in Language Arts or Social Studies!
INSTRUCTIONS for use:
Students can use as many of these cards as they’d like (or as many as they can, or as many as the teacher decides they should use) to record details about different optical illusions they find when looking on the world wide web or in books. They can also attempt to recreate the illusions on the backs of the cards. Students can also trade cards and try to find the illusions described on their ‘found’ or ‘new’ traded cards using classroom books or the web.
When finished researching, students could do an art project in which they create their own unique illusions inspired by the ideas they have found!
