At the end of each year, I pass out surveys to find out which lessons the students liked the most and which ones I need to improve. Last year, this lesson was the most well liked out of all of them. The first half of the lesson is an optical illusions Powerpoint presentation. It is not very English intensive, but it is a lot of fun and reaches across all age ranges very well. After the PPT, there is a collection of videos showing how to do various street magic tricks. I stop each video halfway through, and give a small reward to any student that can explain to me in English how the trick is done. I usually save this one for some real newbies, or for a week when the kids are already stressed out over exams. If you found this lesson useful, be sure to check out some of the others at ESL In Asia
. Good luck!
