Are you looking to add more writing and rigor to your EL lessons? Then this is the resource for you!
Lesson 1 and 2: These activities are designed to go after the read aloud portion of the lesson.
Lesson 3: This is designed to go with the part of the lesson where the teacher is filling out the chart about feathers. Students can fill out their own chart, and instead of drawing a picture of the feather in the third column, students can write the name of the bird.
Lessons 4 and 5: These are a condensed version of what is in the Teacher Supporting Materials book. Students write the sentences that the class designs during the Shared Writing activity.
Lessons 6-9: There is one sheet that students can fill out for beaks that is similar to what was done in lesson 3 with the feathers. There are also response sheets for each day's reading in the book Beaks!
Lessons 10-17: Writing is already embedded in most of these lessons, I've just provided a more streamlined graphic organizer and finished product page.
