This is a freebie I've used in my kindergarten class this year. My kids love using their interactive notebooks, and this is a fun and engaging way for them to learn their color words! This page gives you the option of doing one or two notebook entries for the color word "orange." Use one or both, depending on your schedule! If you are going to use one, start by giving each student a copy of the box that says "orange." Have them write the word under the printed word. Then have them cut out the box and fold over the tab at the top of the box (you may have to help them with this part.) Next they will glue just the tab of the box onto their next interactive notebook page, so the "orange" part can be lifted up like a flap. Now you will give each child either the pumpkin or the carrot picture. Have them color it and cut it out. Then they can glue it under the "orange" flap. Now their notebook entry is complete! They can go back to it, practice spelling it, and see an example of something orange.
If you want to do two entries, you will have to copy the "orange" box two times for each student. Do each entry on a separate page.
