Product Description
Orange Sorbet by Bryce Hixson
Sodium bicarbonate powder is mixed into solution with red food coloring and liquid detergent. That mixture is added to a mixture of aluminum sulfate powder and yellow food coloring. The two mixtures, an acid and a base, react very quickly to produce a large volume of carbon dioxide, which is trapped as bubbles in the liquid detergent. Illustrates the characteristics of a chemical change and an endothermic reaction.
