Students will use the poem "Oranges" by Gary Soto to review Literary Terms. They will write a plot summary using the SWBST strategy. They will fill in answers in the story term section, and they will practice finding and creating their own figurative language.
The answer key included is not complete. There are multiple answers that can be used for some of the boxes, and there are parts that can be worded differently.
Recommendations: Use the "Oranges" poem I have provided for free or find a copy on your own. You may also want to have a glossary of literary terms available for your students. I use the SCOPE "Glossary of Literary Terms" with my kids (access through subscription only), but you can have students find these terms on their own or have a class handout if you choose.
