Product Description
Sequencing Number Puzzles {English/Spanish} provides a 16 or 32 week long interactive math center that will engage young mathematicians in recognizing and sequencing numbers using counting on, counting forward, counting backward, counting by 5s, and counting by 10s hands-on practice!

Students will practice counting strategies including “counting on,” “counting back,” and “skip counting” while they complete the 160 puzzles. Each of the 16 resource contain 10 puzzles that correspond with the theme and recording sheets in English and Spanish to hold your students accountable while they work.

This 16 set, 240-page resource supports the following standards:

Common Core State Standards:
K.CC.A.1, K.CC.A.2, K.CC.A.3

Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Standards:
K.2ABC, K.5A, 1.2F, 1.5AB

Each of the 16 Sets Includes:
- 10 Black and White Printable Puzzles (each puzzle has 10 pieces)
- 2 Recording Sheets {English} for student accountability
- 2 Recording Sheets {Spanish} for student accountability
- 1 Printable Mat for students who need additional support for piece organization

Three Options for Use:

Print and Go! --> Print and photocopy puzzles. Students cut out, mix up, and glue the puzzle back in numerical order on a blank sheet of paper or construction paper.

Print and Cut! --> Print on colored cardstock and cut up the pieces. Laminate for durability. Students sort out the pieces and put them in numerical order.

Print, Cut, and Record! --> Print on colored cardstock and cut up the pieces. Laminate for durability. Students sort out the pieces and put them in numerical order. Students have additional practice by writing the numbers that match the puzzles that they complete. This is a great option if you want to hold your students accountable for their work.

You can use this as one center where students complete all 10 puzzles or break it up into two centers OR use over the course of two weeks (my favorite option!) I have a constant number puzzles center that I rotate the various themes through depending on the time of the year. Each week, the students complete five puzzles using their recording sheet. Administrators appreciate that the students are completing a hands-on activity while being accountable for their learning and work.
