Using the order of operations students find the value of the expressions in each triangle shown. They then cut out each triangle and rearrange them to create one large triangle. All sides need to be matched with an expression and its corresponding answer or with a soccer player and his jersey number.
To make it more interesting for those soccer lovers I have added some popular names and their corresponding jersey numbers into the puzzle.I found this to be an engaging way to revise the order of operations skills.
I have also left a space for the learning intention so that students can write it in their own words.
There are two worksheets, one that contains only the four operations and the other includes brackets. Files contained within the zip file are in PDF format so they can be opened on any device.
Answer key is also included.
