This is a one-sided practice page with 9 questions over simplifying expressions by using the order of operations.
The questions start off easy and get harder. The first 3 questions can all be simplified with 2 steps. The next 3 questions need 3 steps to simplify and the last 3 questions need 4 steps to simplify. All questions are written such that no subtraction leads to a negative number - great for the beginner!
After simplifying, students use a coloring key to color a tessellation design. Coloring is calming and makes the work more fun. The coloring key includes 9 distractors that won't be used, but may seem correct if the simplification is done incorrectly. Key included.
