Students will work with a partner in a higher order thinking error analysis activity. Each partner will receive a paper and work out the two problems on top-the paper each partner receives will be different. When the partner works out the two problems on top, they will purposely work out one of the problems using the incorrect order of operations. They will then exchange their papers with their partner who just did the same thing. They will then work out their partners problems on the bottom of the paper and analyze which problem their partner applied the order of operations incorrectly to. They will then write about the mistake their partner made. Answer key included!
