This is a resource that I created to use in a 20 minute teacher instructed center with my fifth grade inclusion classroom. This could also be used as an assessment or as an independent worksheet (I would only suggest independent if your class is very proficient in order of operations). On the first page, students are only asked to hilight the FIRST step in evaluating each expression (parenthesis, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction are included, NO exponents or brackets). On the second page, students are asked to evaluate 7 questions using order of operations. There are 10 questions on the first page and 7 on the second page so 17 questions total.
I took the time to make sure to include problems that frequently give students a challenge so this is perfect for review before a test or the SOL.
