This scoot activity is a perfect break from the norm in your classroom! The students get to enjoy being up and out of their seats, traveling around the room answering questions on an easy to use recording sheet. The first 20 cards are two step problems and the last 10 cards are 3 step problems. This is meant for beginning to mid-level order of operations practice.
This set comes with:
-1 set of 30 task cards
-4 recording sheets (Level A 20 questions, Level A 30 questions, Level B 20 questions, Level B 30 questions)
-4 answer keys
Using the same 30 cards there are two variations in play:
Using 20 cards or 30 cards. Depending on how many students you have and/or how long you’d like this activity to be, you may choose to print the first 20 cards or all 30. There is an answer recording sheet for each option.
Using recording sheet A or B.
For recording sheet A, students are only writing down which operation they would complete first for each question. For example: 2÷2∙4 The answer would be DIVIDE.
For recording sheet B, students will actually solve the expression. For example: 2÷2∙4 The answer would be 4.
There is room for them to show their work.
