Directions: Students ma y work individually or with a partner. They take turns drawing cards and
placing the numbers in the blank. For example if the students draws an 8, an ace, and a 2 then problem #1 _____+(_____ - ____+) 2 becomes 8 + (1 -5)2
The students then work together to solve the problem. They repeat the process.
To increase difficulty: the red cards can represent negative numbers and the black cards can represent
positive.
