There are two activity sheets (worksheets) here that are facts about George Washington. Each page has 10 questions on it. They look almost identical for those who have students with wandering eyes or to go over as practice and independent practice.
Students are to solve order of operation problems. These are not beginning order of operation problems. They are more advanced but are not extremely hard. There are a few problems that have complex fractions and some negatives. When the student finds the correct answer, he/she will also find the fact about George Washington. This activity can be counted as a cross curriculum activity.
All of these are created by me and you will possibly find errors since I have not given this to students yet. If you do, please contact me. I can probably correct it pretty easily and send you a corrected copy back. **These are the same FACTS about George Washington as the “Solving Algebraic Equations-Facts about George Washington”, but the math problems are obviously different.
I think that these are worthwhile activities for President's Day (week) or for Washington's birthday. I hope that you enjoy them. If you want more cross-curriculum activities, students can write a paragraph from information found about George Washington.
