The Ordered Pairs Organizers 1-6 are a fun way to teach coordinate graphing to students. It truly helps them to master plotting points in (x,y) order at all times. Each of the Ordered Pairs organizers creates some kind of picture that automatically lets the student know that he/she has plotted the points and connected them correctly. On Ordered Pairs Organizer 1, please feel free to change the teacher name. When the points are plotted and connected, here is what each student will see when done:
Ordered Pairs 1: #1 (They will see a number symbol and the number one so they know you are the #1 teacher) :-)
Ordered Pairs 2: A small boat.
Ordered Pairs 3: Helicopter (available in the preview)
Ordered Pairs 4: A scary creature that drools--This is a great one around Halloween!
Ordered Pairs 5: A submarine with an odd creature at the bottom of the ocean
Ordered Pairs 6: The U.S.S. Enterprise from the Star Trek Series
Students love to add their own artistic backgrounds to these pictures, making math a very pleasant experience. Try the one I loaded onto the preview page for fun!
*Please Note: These ordered pairs challenges are only for positive number plotting. They are not broken into four quadrants.
