This bundle contains 4 resources for teaching students the correct way to order adjectives in a sentence.

2. A Sorting Activity/Reference Guide
3. 24 Task Cards
4. A Sorting Adjectives Craftivity
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.4.1d Order adjectives within sentences according to conventional patterns (e.g., a small red bag rather than a red small bag).
The PowerPoint begins by reviewing what an adjective does in a sentences. It then introduces the concept of "sliding" adjectives into sentences in the correct order.
The latter half of the PowerPoint is full of practice opportunities. Students rewrite sentences and answer multiple choice questions. A worksheet companion is also included so that students can follow along on their worksheets as you progress through the PowerPoint.
The sorting activity (which becomes an accordion-style foldable and future reference guide) and craftivity are designed to be follow-up activities to the PowerPoint.
In order to complete the sorting activity, students classify 42 adjectives by their classification, recording each adjective on the appropriate panel. They also independently list 20 adjectives (2 for each section), and write 10 sentences. The final page of the foldable contains 6 fill-in-the-blank sentences.
In order to complete the craftivity, students complete the 10-item worksheet, and then follow the student-friendly directions to assemble the craftivity.
The task card set contains 24 task cards. The first 16 cards contain fill-in-the-blank sentences, in which the students must determine the correct order of the given adjectives. The final 8 cards are written in a multiple choice format.
