Ordering and comparing fractions, decimals, and percents isn't the funnest thing for students, so you can make it fun by letting students get active and forming a human number line!
Directions for the teacher: Cut out the fractions, decimals, and percents, and randomly distribute them to your students.
Directions for the students: Look at your card, and decide where it belongs on the number line below. Would you move to the left or to the right? Is it closer to 0, 1, 2, or 3? You may want to convert your fraction, decimal, or percent, to make it easier to compare.
If time allows, we will collect the cards, redistribute them, and repeat activity to see if you can set a new class record!
