Why is this called Math Movers?

This series will feature movable tools to help students in solving math problems. For example, in this resource students will manipulate numbers in fun shapes to place them in the correct order.

What skills are covered with this Math Movers resource?

There are three ordering numbers activities in ten different themes.

For the first activity, students will find the missing number in a series of four numbers.

For the second activity, students will find multiple missing numbers in a series of ten numbers.

For the third activity, students will place six numbers in order from least to greatest. These numbers are not always in immediate succession (i.e. 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9)

What themes are included in this set?

The themes are: acorns, apples, leaves, pumpkins, hay bales, candy corn, spiders, witch hats, apple baskets, and turkeys

How will students complete the mats?

On each page, students will use the given numbers to fill in the missing pieces. In any place where a number is missing, students will see the outline of the same shape.

What program(s) does this resource use?

This digital center was created with Google Slides™ and can be used in your Google Classroom™. If you have any questions about how to use or access this type of resource please email me at heather@teachingwithcreationcastle.com or send me a Q&A here on TpT before you purchase.

Do I have to use all the slides?

No, just use what you need. You may find it is best to send your students one theme at a time so they are not overwhelmed. I highly suggest creating a master copy of the original file in your Drive. Then create a copy to make any changes to (such as deleting or rearranging slides).

I love this but my students need more of a challenge! Do you have a more advanced version?

Yes, you can find the same activity in Resource Ranch's store where numbers 0-20 are covered in the same themes.
