This silly Spanish story goes great with a unit on food and ordering in a restaurant.
Targeted vocabulary: el mesero, el menú, una mesa libre/ocupada, los clientes, pedir, tomar la orden, la cuenta, y la propina.
Plot: Juan Pablo is waiting tables on his first day. Another waiter is out sick, and it is very busy in the restaurant. He ends up tripping and spilling drinks all over his friends who came to visit. They pay the bill, but they don't leave him any tip!
This story is written entirely in the present tense and includes reading comprehension questions in both English and Spanish and vocabulary activities at the end. This is a fun one to act out for TPRS for in person learning, and it also comes with audio for distance learning!
