We are all familiar with sorting activities, and this one is very similar. What makes this sort different, is that it uses QR codes.
My students are looking for every excuse to pull out their cell phones, so I try to find ways where I can actively monitor their cell phone use so I know it is for education. Using QR codes and QR code reader is one way I get my students to use the technology.
The way I use QR sorts is to print off all of the pages and cut the code right down the middle, where the vocabulary word is on top and the description is on bottom. By cutting the QR code in half, students will have to put the code back together, and when they have the correct word and description, the code will scan.
In this QR Sort, the vocabulary words are focused on the major organs in the human body and what they do. In this download there are 26 different QR codes and unique messages. Which makes for a perfect review exercise over the different organs.
If you are looking for something similar, but related to the body systems as a whole, check out my product.
