**This resource is available in a money-saving bundle!**
I have taught the cell and organelle unit so many different ways and I always wished that I had a great diagram for each organelle. I like to do a build-an-organelle project and fill the room with organelles.
But before doing this independent project, often my students struggle to really grasp the importance of each one. The names are like words in a foreign language. Some of the organelles look a lot alike in textbook or diagrams I could find online. Some of the diagrams out there are almost illegible.
I created these pages to be what I always wanted for teaching cells. I always wanted clear, black and white, easy to print, diagram and easy reading for each organelle. This bundle of pages is what I wished I had when I was teaching.
Here is a free sample page to give you an idea of an activity included in this bundle!
Each diagram in this organelle page bundle comes with a short reading and extension questions, on the same page as the diagram.
The diagram/reading pages are great for homework! They do require students to read further online for more information but each should not take too long for them to find the answer or think of the answer.
The full page diagrams are great because you can use them in class as coloring pages, posters, or on quizzes! I included 4 different formats for each picture: labeled, unlabeled with label lines, no label lines, and no title. If you use as a coloring page, you decide what colors you want your students to use for each element.
Another way you could use them is to place the diagrams around the room and have students rotate between each organelle. You could even test them to see how fast each group of students can label their organelles entirely, which would be a great way to prepare them for a test on cells and organelles.
The following organelles are included:
Cell Wall/Cell Membrane
Endoplasmic Reticulum (Smooth/Rough)
