Product Description
This is a great lesson with a simple graphic you can make using HUGE paper or note cards.
In this lesson students to retell or create a story without all the wasted time on details that don't move the story forward or add to the purpose.
It helps them focus on the big ideas.
It is SO very valuable for students who struggle to get to the end when summarizing. This forces them to get to the end by starting there.
I have used this strategy for kids 2nd to 12th grade and if the problem is focus, or too many details and maybe even fatigue this will help them be brief, effective and complete.
