Product Description
This is a Common Core State Standards based activity. This activity may be done in collaborative groups or individually.

Facilitate critical thinking skills as your students plan, propose, and advertise an original invention.

The students will brainstorm original inventions, plan an original invention, and write a commercial for the invention. The culminating activity will engage the students in developing proposal presentations for their inventions including the following:
--Title of the Invention
--Describe the problem it solves.
--Describe how it is used with step-by-step instructions.
--Visual diagram or model of the invention.
--Call to action for prospective customers.
--Tag line

The activities include easy to follow step-by-step instructions throughout the whole process including the basic steps for proposing an invention, the parts of a commercial. The activity is highly scaffolded with graphic organizers to guide students through each step of the process making it more accessible for EFL/ESL/ELD students.

The students are encouraged to use their imaginations, be creative, and have fun.
