In our high school semester Ornithology course, students are expected to learn to identify 50 common birds to the state of Oklahoma. Students are given a "pre-test" at the start of the semester - a powerpoint with pictures of all 50 birds. There are more bird identification pictures on all tests. Students also do practice bird identification quizzes through the semester. At the final exam, students have a 'lab practical' that involves visually identifying all 50 birds.
To make the practice quizzes, I took our powerpoint with 50 bird pictures and used a random number generator website to give me sets of 10 numbers. Then I took slides from the original powerpoint and copied them into different individual powerpoints of just 10 slides each to serve as each quiz. This product DOES NOT INCLUDE THESE PHOTO QUIZZES. Sorry - but the photos don't belong to me, so I can't share them. I'm just sharing what my resource looked like, so you can create your own based on your own native birds.
So, what is this product? It is an 8 page Word document (so you may edit as needed). There is a page that lists the 50 birds students were to learn. There is a page for students to sketch the birds they were struggling with. There is a pre-assessment checklist that students used gauge their initial bird identification knowledge. Then there are 4 pages that have answer sheets for 4 quizzes per page, for a total of 16 quiz answer sheets. The last page is a graph that students used to graph their quiz scores, to show their progress in bird identification over the course of the semester.
AGAIN - this product is just for the Quizz & Graphing Packet, and DOES NOT INCLUDE the powerpoint or actual quizzes with photos.
