These pages can be used to teach new material when using Orton-Gillingham or as a supplement to any word study instruction. Included are 40 pages of the most common affixes and roots. This is an expanded version of my earlier OG New Learning for Affixes and Roots.
Each new learning page consists of:
• 2-3 words for the auditory and visual connection
• A keyword with picture
• Stated meaning
• 6-9 words for reading
• 2 sentences for reading
Prefixes: re, un, pre, ex/e, con/com, de/dis, em/en, sub, inter, tele, trans
Roots: vis/vid, tract, sist, rupt, port, ject, dict, geo/terr, script/scribe/graph, struct, viv/bio, form
Suffixes: al/ic, ed, s/es, ous, ive, ant/ent, ify, ance/ence, er/or, ism/ness/dom/ship, ment, age, ward, able/ible, ary, ed, es
