I always like to end my reading tutoring sessions with a game to keep my students motivated and feeling positive about reading.
This is a simple printable game that only requires dice and some sort of playing pieces (I use small plastic counting bear manipulatives). Laminate it to use it as many times as you want and store it for future years.
In this game, students use suffixes LY, LESS, FUL, MENT, and NESS to complete the underlined word to make each short sentence make sense. Arrows can send players forward or back unexpectedly, keeping things fun and providing even more opportunities for practice. This can be easily played between 2-4 students and takes just 5-10 minutes to finish, making it an excellent brain break activity.
