This osmosis lab, "The Effect of Solutions on Cells" Lab will demonstrate to students how concentration gradients affect the movement of water across membranes.
Suitable for Biology and Life Science students in grades 7-12.
In this lab, the student will observe the effect of a salt water solution on the cells of the Elodea leaf.
To observe the movement of water into and out of cells, and to see the effects of different solutions on cells.
Microscope, Microscope slides, Elodea Leaf, Salt water solution, Distilled water, Droppers, Cover slips
