Great for any grades dealing with the second portion of U.S. History (1865 to the Present)! Originally created for sixth graders to learn about U.S. history between the end of WWII and the present, this unit plan helps students describe how international trade and globalization have impacted American life; describe the development and impact of new technologies on American life; identify representative citizens who have influenced science, culture, academics, and economics; and examine American foreign policy, immigration, the global environment, and other emerging issues. The unit plan contains a unit overview, materials list, five detailed lesson plans, a test and answer key, student handouts for each day followed by their answer key if applicable, a paper copy of the PowerPoint and Jeopardy Review Game, a vocabulary list, and the curriculum framework from the VDOE.
