Students will LOVE to read and look through this book! It helps build community, is an excellent addition to your classroom library, and can also serve as a helpful reference tool for kids as they learn to spell each other's names.
This resource gives you everything you need to create a class book about the kids in your class. This book will be a favorite to read and look through and it can also serve as a reference tool when kids want to know how to spell each other’s names.
Something for Everyone: You’ll type or write a name on each page and then insert that child’s photo. You can do this all within Google Slides.
You could definitely get more creative with this, depending on the age of your students and what your purpose is. For example, if your kids can write, you could put their picture in the middle and they could turn it into a circle or bubble map describing themselves. I’m just doing the basic picture and name for my K class, but feel free to think outside the box.
Speedy Prep: This makes a beautiful 8 inch square-shaped class book. You simply print and cut the blank bottom space off the papers (one quick chop with the paper cutter) and you’re set! Both color and black and white cover pages are also included (choose the one you want) that you may wish to laminate.
Putting It All Together: I like to just put a few quick staples along the side. If you’re fancier than me J you could also bind the pages or assemble them any way you wish.
Kids will LOVE growing a collection of books in your classroom library that they had a hand in creating. I suggest making a special bin in your library where kids can find the books they made. Class books are also fun to put in the hall during conference time so families can see them.
