Using investigative learning, students will learn about air pressure and the effective it has on weather. Designed in two parts, students are provided with mini mysteries on the Power Point, short videos and with a quick and easy experiment. Students observe, reason, and deduct an answer with scaffolding and activities in their own detective note books.
Lesson 2 uses the information they learned to solve a mystery identifying the real meteorologist from the fake ones.
Included are two Power Points, a detective notebook with scaffolded learning activities, two lesson plans, and a handout containing an Information packet on Weather and 8 Suspect Files with testimony.
To print out the packets and activity sheets, select the slides and print as full page handouts.
