This activity consists of 12 questions about the poem, "Out, Out-" by Robert Frost. These questions make an excellent reading guide to help students understand the poem and realize that poetry has meaning, just as prose does. This sheet can be used as a substitute for directed reading. Some of the questions require analysis or synthesis, higher-level thinking skills. Most of the questions are based on reading comprehension. This activity can be done individually or by cooperative learning groups. It is an excellent springboard for class discussions and motivation to encourage careful reading.
