Over the past five years, I have taken hundreds of 7th and 8th grade public middle school students on many backpacking trips along the Pacific Coast. These trips range from five to ten days in duration. We typically do one trip per quarter. My class sizes average twenty-two students per quarter. This is a highly sought after elective class.
This example itinerary offers interested teachers a solid starting point from which to begin crafting their own Outdoor / Adventure Education class trips (or plan your own vacation adventure).
