This is a game designed as a review for standards in multiplication & division.
The game is designed so that students can play independently and with little setup. Everything needed for play is included in the file. Print question cards two-sided so that the answer to the question, along with how many spaces the student can move, are printed on the back of the question. Students can play and check their answers as they go. No more dice rolling off the table or being thrown in the air!
The file includes the board, student directions, six printable playing pieces, and 63 double-sided playing cards. Cards focus on the following skills:
- Multiplication represented by area, set, and number line models
- Division represented by area, set, and number line models
- Multiplication/Division fact recall
- Multiplication word problems
- Fact Families for Multiplication/Division
- Multiplication Properties (Identity and Commutative)
This is a review game designed to meet the following SOLs:
3.2 The student will recognize and use the inverse relationships between multiplication/division to complete basic fact sentences. The student will use these relationships to solve problems.
3.5 The student will recall multiplication facts through the twelves table, and the corresponding division facts.
3.6 The student will represent multiplication and division, using area, set, and number line models, and create and solve problems that involve multiplication of two whole numbers, one factor 99 or less and the second factor 5 or less.
3.20 The student will
a) investigate the identity and the commutative properties for multiplication; and
b) identify examples of the identity and commutative properties for
