Outlining - Language Arts Activity gives your students practice in the art of outlining.
Students are first given a narrative about seeds in which to attempt their first outline.
Outlining rules are presented next, with an example of an outline that has been well done.
Students are then ready for the next step with another attempt at an outline based on a narrative about tree types.
An outline about the characteristics of birds is then given to the students for them to review and pretend they are the teacher to see what mistakes have been made.
Finally, students are given a narrative on how seeds travel and are assigned to create its outline.
