No weak comprehension level here! Chapter assignments focusing on different skills aligned to curriculum. Students use their own paper to create graphic organizers, small essays, and other meta-cognitively based analysis items. Can easily be one test grade (I suggesting doing a grade as you go) or pull specific activities as you need for quiz grades. Only non-analysis work are application of dictionary and summary skills. Activities include: Imagery analysis, mood, poetry analysis, character development, foreshadowing, symbolism, theme, and inter-textual links.
