Traditionally, giftedness has been identified by administering and scoring cognitive tests, as well as those that test specific academic abilities. Research conducted by Dabrowski and other renowned psychologists indicate that "Overexcitabilities" may also be an indicator of giftedness, although a more informal, non-traditional measure. This Power Point presentation may be used as an informational tool for parents, edcuators, administrators, or as an inexpensive inservice tool to inform and educate regarding gifted behaviors within our student (and adult!) populations. Included in this presentation are slides which may be printed as handouts in order for participants to complete an "Overexcitabilities Checklist", as well as a tip sheet entitled, "Strategies for Coping with Overexcitabilities". The Power Point also includes a bibliography of resources and instructions for audience participation.
