### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Our Owl Number Sequencing hands-on activity is a great for small group time, morning work, math centers or even as a gift for parents and children to do together! The use of hands-on materials and fun graphics in this activity sparks children's interest, gets them excited about learning, and engages their long-term memory.

Children will build their early mathematics skills with this fun, hands-on activity! It includes 10 number strips for numbers 1-20.

Children will learn number recognition, counting, one-to-one correspondence, and quantifying:
- count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1) (Common Core K.CC.A.2)
- counting and quantifying: understand the relationships between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality (Common Core K.CC.B.4.)
* When counting objects, say the number of names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object (Common Core K.CC.B.4.a.)
* Understand that the last number name said tells the objects counted. (Common Core K.CC.B.4.b.)
* Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger (Common Core K.CC.B.4.c)
- Count to answer "how many" questions about as many as 20 things arrange in a line (Common Core K.CC.B.5.)
* This activity corresponds to Common Core Standards; however, you do not need to follow Common Core to use this activity and benefit from it.
