Animals are fascinating to read about, but buying class sets of books can be quite expensive! This nonfiction text unit on owls may help. It would be a great addition to a nonfiction text study, animal unit, or fall unit.
This text covers the topics of habitat, location, predators, prey, physical characteristics, and interesting facts. Twelve different species are discussed throughout the book.
This book study includes:
-15 full color pages of nonfiction text about owls with bold text and a glossary (These are great as a teacher copy or to project with technology for the class or a small group to see.)
-the same text appears in a black and white, printable booklet format (Now students can ALL have their own copy of the text!)
-T-chart on species and their differences
-Venn of two species of owls with optional cut and paste pictures
-Clickable links to online audio recordings of calls, webcams, and interesting videos
-Vocabulary assessment with key
-10 question short answer/sentence answer assessment
