It's important to educate our students about this debate as well as why using the Oxford comma is always the safest course of action.
This Oxford comma minilesson contains ideas for introduction to the concept: links to two videos and a news article are included. Also, the exercise includes a brief explanation of the debate and the Oxford comma as well as five practice questions to get students thinking critically about whether or not to use it.
