As a homeroom teacher, I have to keep track of all things homeroom! With only a limited amount of time before my first period class comes in, this can be challenging! We do use a computer program to keep track of absent students, however I am also responsible for keeping track of this in an attendance binder…as this is the Diocesan Policy.
I made this sheet to help me to do this. I print out one for each student and keep it in a binder near my desk. I simply record the date of each absence and late. That way, when filling in my binder, I have it at my fingertips.
In addition, you could also use this for your classes. I keep one for each student in my 6 classes. When a student is absent, I quickly record it. It helps me a lot.
